I’m spending this week in Leipzig where I lived during my student years (I’m originally from Baden-Württemberg). The days were filled with meeting friends and the family of my boyfriend. I never felt this at home staying with another family, so I became happier each day.
The apex came after we met with the professor who graded my thesis with whom I’m now have an intellectual correspondence. I didn’t realise at first, that introducing my boyfriend to my professor would mean that much to me. The professor is a person who’s thoughts I highly value, so after I got the impression he respected my boyfriend, I was more sure about my relationship than ever.
After teatime with my professor we had something like a spontanous datenight by going to the ‘cat tempel‘ a vegan restaurant where some cats live and can be petted. My boyfriend and I had a lot of fun and excellent conversation together.
That night I was happy and thought I was in balance after meditating for over 70 consecutive days. So I didn’t take my antipsychosis medication cause I forgot to take enough pills with me and had to ration between the normal medication and the ‘if required medication’. I laid awake this night from 00:00 to 08:00 ‘day dreaming‘ about the future and how the wedding with my boyfriend would be.
But I did what Andrew Huberman, a neurosciencist, in an interview on YouTube advised. He said you should stay in bed, with closed eyes, without (artifical) light to rest your body and to wake up get at least ten minutes of sunlight in your eyes instead of coffee. I did a lot of breathing technics during the eight hours to recuperating.
The next evening I took the most I could of the ‘if required medication’ during the evening and slept like a baby (waking up screaming every 3 hours). I slept six hours in total with three than a two hour brake and then another three. Today my sleep rhythm is back to normal, but that again was a happy apex. Not sleeping cause the brain is launching one train of thought after another.
With me it is special cause my thinking is of the total positive type and normally people can’t sleep cause they worry to much.
Stay tuned, Stay curious, Stay healthy.
