BikerSkylla on the road

I totally forgot, today is the 20th anniversary of me writing diary. One of my teachers told my parents I should practice writing at home cause my grammar wasn’t good. The first sentence I wrote would be translated to “A lion sits on a grassland.” I analysed this with a friend of mine, she asked why grassland, lions are usually found in the savannah. My hypothesis is, I identified as the lion (cause my name is Leonie) and wanted to go out in our backyard rather than writing (From the kitchen window I was sitting back then I could see in the garden).

Today I’m writing out of the ICE in the middle of Germany on my way to see my boyfriend. I have updated some pages on the website so you can have a look what’s to come.

My way of travel depends on a lot of variables, last time I made a tour with my motorcycle from the north of the black forest where I live to Düsseldorf, where my best friend lives to Leipzig, where my boyfriend lives and back. 1500 kilometers in 3 days, over 9 hours on the bike each day, it was the perfect holiday for me.

I like to travel alone with my bike and usually don’t like to drive around the block or only to the next café on a sunday afternoon. That’s not in sink with my ecological heart to drive around for fun. I use my motorcycle for travels I would do anyway and find it better for the enviroment when travelling alone cause my bike only needs 4,0l/100km. Now I’m nostalgic, so here are some impressions from my motorcycle journeys. And yes thats me at the beginning on the motorcycle of my father.

But when I have a lot of luggage and want to have a some comfort while traveling I tend to use the train. To get the tickets cheaper I have a ‘bahncard 25’.

In the past I have had a boyfriend who also had a motorcycle and we did a lot of fun travels together, but now I know it’s the alone time on the bike I like the most. So most of the time I’m alone on the road like today.
